Wine Tasting Around the Globe
Summer is coming up and you know what that means, vacations! Wine enthusiasts might enjoy a summer vacation with a twist, visit as many wineries around the globe, or the country, as you possibly can. While you can still check out the Eiffel Tower or Big Ben, try to center a lot of the activities around wine. Flying around Europe might be expensive, but this doesn’t have to be a one time deal. Instead, it can be a lifelong goal.
Pick up a book about wineries located in specific states, countries, or regions and map out which one you need to visit. Imagine going to France, the 2nd largest wine producing country, and sipping on red wines straight from the vineyard. If you’re traveling globally, France and Spain should be at the top of your list, with Italy coming in third. But if you’re keeping this vacation to the states, there is no question that California is the place to go.
Take along a wine journal so you can record your experiences and keep track of which red and white wines delighted your taste buds and which made you cringe for a glass of water.
